A beautiful 3rd floor two bedroom apartment that is worth every step! This Museum curator's apartment attractively spans the top of two Georgian townhouses and has parks on both sides of the building. Although a listed building, the kitchen and bathroom reflect the most modern standards with the 17' x 18' 6" drawing room decorated in a late Georgian style. The bedrooms are at the rear of the building facing South and offering a peaceful night's sleep for a maximum of 4 and a gentle awakening  to sunshine and the sounds of birds in the park.

The kitchen (18' 6" x 17' ), which incorporates a dining area easily seating 8 people, is a loft style space retaining its period charm, while affording all modern facilities for cooking, dishwashing and clothes washing.

The bedrooms are equipped with all-cotton bedding: the principal bedroom (14' x 12' )has a comfortable 6ft double bed (or two 3ft twins) and an 1820s fireplace; the second bedroom (11' x 12' )has comfortable 3ft twin beds. The bathroom has twin hand basins, WC and large shower cubicle with power shower and maple flooring.

Because of its location in a listed 1827 building the apartment is only accessible by stairs that are shared by the buildings' other occupants. Owned by the same family since the mid-1920s, the apartment has been carefully maintained and offers a haven for those seeking self-catering accommodation to a high standard in central London.

The flat is 10 minutes' walk from the British Museum and 5 minutes from Russell Square tube station on the Piccadilly Line (direct from Heathrow). Shaftesbury Ave., Covent Garden and theatre land are 20 minutes' walk or two stops on the underground and there are numerous bus routes to all parts of the city within 5 minutes' walk. There are many academic and antiquarian book/print shops in the area and the number 7 bus runs direct from Russell Sq. to Portobello market.

Local shopping includes a well equipped supermarket, speciality delicatessen and cheese shop, late night grocery stores, wine merchants, several traditional London pubs and cafes, a post office and numerous general stores including a highly regarded organic produce store. Restaurants offer Italian, Middle Eastern, Chinese and Indian cuisine with one of London's finest fish & chip restaurants 3 minutes away.
